Dear Gesu Families,
As the 2026–2027 school year gets underway, we would like to share a few important updates and reminders regarding safety and security on our campus. The safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors remains one of our highest priorities.
Welcome, Officer K!
We are pleased to welcome Officer K, Gesu’s full-time School Resource Officer. Officer K is highly trained and brings experience working in a school setting. He is employed through Bee-Safe and will be an important part of our ongoing efforts to provide a safe and secure environment for our school community.
Centegix Crisis Alert System
The Centegix Crisis Alert System is now in place throughout the Gesu campus. This system provides faculty, staff, and parish staff with the ability to quickly alert school administration, including the school nurse, in the event of an emergency, such as a medical incident.
The system can also be used to initiate an immediate lockdown when necessary and provides alerts to law enforcement partners, including officers from John Carroll University and University Heights.
Visitor Procedures
For the safety of our students, anyone visiting or entering campus during the school day must report to the school front office.
Visitors are required to:

Wait to be buzzed into the building.

Sign in at the front office.

Wear a visible visitor badge while on campus.

Remain in the designated waiting area until escorted through the school.
Anyone found on campus without a visitor badge will be escorted to the front office or asked to leave campus.
Exterior Doors
All exterior doors will remain locked. Please do not prop open exterior doors. If you need access to the building, please use the main entrance and follow the visitor procedures above.
