Celebrating Mr. Grant’s Next Chapter in Leadership

Dear Gesu Families,

It is bittersweet to share that Mr. Kenneth Grant will be stepping into a new leadership role as Head of School at Valiant Academy beginning in the 2027–2028 school year.

Gesu has benefited from the knowledge, compassion, and leadership of Mr. Grant over the last several years.  He has the natural ability to see the good in each student and encourages them to see the good in themselves. While Mr. Grant will continue at Gesu as Assistant Principal for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year; his leadership and presence in future years will certainly be missed.

We are extremely grateful for Mr. Grant’s dedication, leadership, and many contributions to Gesu. His experience here has prepared him well for these next steps in his career. Mr. Grant’s  commitment to our students and the mission of our school has been evident throughout his time at Gesu, and we are thankful for all he has given to our community.

“My time at Gesu has been rewarding. I am incredibly grateful for the relationships, experiences, and opportunities to serve the students, families, and staff who have been part of my journey here. As I begin this new chapter, I look forward to continuing my passion for education, faith-based leadership, and building a school community where students can grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

Grateful for where I’ve been, excited for where God is leading me, and committed to making a difference!

Faith. Family. Future.”

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Grant on this exciting opportunity! We truly appreciate the many ways he has served and strengthened the Gesu community, and we wish him every blessing and success as he takes on this new role.

Honoring Veterans Day
Veterans Day is Wednesday, November 11.  We would like to honor all of our military service men and women.  If you have a veteran in your family, you are welcome to bring a photo to the main office.  We will place it in our school showcase during the remainder of this month.

School Strategic Plan Survey

During Curriculum Nights, Gesu administration shared that the school is in the first year of our Ohio Catholic Schools Accreditation Process.  We are excited to be at the beginning of the reflective self-study and strategic planning process. Over the next two years, our school community will be engaged in thoughtful, prayerful, and reflective conversations about who we are, how we live our Catholic mission, and how we can plan for a strong future.

The process is grounded in the Benchmarks for Excellent Ohio Catholic Schools.  The self-study invites our school to reflect together, study evidence, and identify priorities that will shape a meaningful strategic action plan.

Please look for a survey from Parent Pulse.  The survey will not be given to all parents at the same time.  Instead, it will gradually roll out to all parents during the month of November. You may remain anonymous.

Thank you for providing your feedback so Gesu may cooperatively shape a strategic plan for our school community.
