Our school band teacher, Mr. Frank Adams, is looking forward to his 15th year directing the Gesu Bands and his 38th year of teaching band! The first day of instrument lessons for band members in grades 5-8 will be this coming Wednesday, September 2.
Parents of students that are new to Gesu and who played in band at their previous school can email Mr. Adams at fadams@gesu.com for information about the band program and how to sign up. Mr. Adams would also like to extend an invitation to students in grades 5-8 who have not participated in band previously, to join the program this year.
Students in Grade 4 have the opportunity to join the Beginner Band. Mr. Adams will be meeting with the students in 4th grade this week to discuss the program and demonstrate the various instruments. A detailed printed Beginner Band Program Information Packet will be sent home with students in 4th grade and a digital version will be emailed to parents of the 4th grade students. The first day of instrument lessons for the 4th Grade Beginner Band students will be Friday, September 4.
Gesu Family Directory
The family directory is built into Digital Academy and only includes families who opted to share their contact information. Here is how to access this online resource:
From Computer/Desktop Site
1. Log into Digital Academy
2. Click the Directory/Person Finder Icon in the upper right (below your name/picture).
3. Search by name, or choose a grade level and homeroom to view parents and students.
4. Use the print icon to view the full directory as a PDF.
From a Phone/Mobile Site
1. Log into Digital Academy
2. Tap the Directory/Person Finder Icon in the lower right.
3. Search or browse the directory.

Adding Lunch Funds
Gesu uses a prepaid lunch program through Digital Academy. Please add funds to your child's account before purchases are made. Students with a negative balance will still receive a full lunch (account will go negative) but cannot purchase A'La Carte items. No cash is accepted.
To Add Funds
1. Log into Digital Academy
2. From the Home Page, click the Finance Tab
3. Scroll down to the Cafeteria Account Balance section.
4. Click Add Funds.
5. Enter the amount you wish to add.
6. Press next and select ACH or Credit Card.
7. Click Process Payment.
