Dear Gesu Families,

I would like to share a few important faculty updates.

Mr. Michael Martinek, Director of Technology, will not be returning to Gesu for the 2026–2027 school year. His final day at Gesu will be June 12.  Please join me in thanking Michael for his contributions to Gesu and wishing him the very best as he expands his professional experience.

Additionally, due to illness in her family, Ms. Cynthia CampbellCurry will be out for the remainder of this school year. We keep Ms. CampbellCurry and her family in our prayers during this difficult time.  To continue supporting our students and staff, our school psychologist, Dr. Alexander, will be on campus four days each week for the remainder of the school year.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for our faculty and staff.

AMDG,

Mrs Regan Kazel

Principal

Hike for Hunger 2026

Gesu’s 42nd Annual Hike is this Friday, May 15! Dress for this Friday includes:

Gesu Spirit Wear with dress down bottoms (shorts must be appropriate length)
Tennis shoes
Circus-themed accessories during the Hike only (as a reminder we will have Mass Friday morning)

The Kick Off Assembly will begin at 1:00 PM in the Family Center. The students will then go for their Walk/Hike. Thank you to the PTO and Parent Volunteers who are helping on this day!

Gesu helps bridge the meal gap for many people. Stats show that 1 out of 6 people in NE Ohio do not know where their next meal is coming from. Did you know that Cleveland’s child poverty rate has been consistently among the highest of large U.S. cities.
Please help fight hunger and food insecurity by using the following link: https://gesu.com/hike.
Or visit the Gesu School website to click on the DONATION BUTTON.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THIS PARISH AND SCHOOL WIDE SERVICE PROJECT!
